Mr. Anaxagorou from the moment of the acquisition of his diploma (In naval architecture & marine engineering - Thesis on improving yard operations using robots) he was involved in the research area of the maritime transport of N.T.U.A. (E.U. R&D programmes). He worked successfully for the projects ATOMOS II (Advanced Technology to Optimise Manpower Onboard Ships-Integration Implementation), SAFECO (Safety of Shipping in Coastal Waters), DISC II (Demonstration of Integrated Ship Control by Way of Inter-European Implementation), SAFECO II (Safety of Shipping in Coastal Waters II).

In parallel with the R&D programmes he was involved, as a freelance professional (mechanical & electrical engineer), in the construction of buildings - working either independently or in co-operation with others - having the responsibility of the projects, C.A.D - designs, administration, supervision, and logistics. Furthermore in co-operation with architects he was involved in architectural competitions and in product (furniture) design. He has the ability to achieve results when working against tight deadlines, in a variety of projects and with different working groups.

As an expert on designing, developing and analysing marine and technology data bases and networks, Mr.Anaxagorou now works on the projects ADVANCES (Added Value Network Concerning European Shipping), ATOMOS IV (Advanced Technology to Optimise Manpower Onboard Ships - Intelligent Vessel) , and EVIMAR (All funded by the European Union).

He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Hellenic Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers, and the Hellenic Society of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
